Inspector General of Police (IGP) Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun said there is no specific law and order threat during Christmas, the biggest religious festival of Christians.
Besides, RAB will take special security measures to deal with any unwanted situation on Christmas.
The IGP said that Christmas celebrations have already started. Adequate police have been deployed at every venue across the country. The law and order situation is under control.
The IGP said this while visiting St. Mary’s Cathedral Church in Kakrail in the capital on Saturday evening. He also wished the countrymen on the occasion of the Christmas festival tomorrow, Sunday.
“I would like to say to the Christian brothers and sisters that you will enjoy your religious events in a festive atmosphere. Similar to the religious ceremonies of Muslims and Hindus, the ceremonies of the Christian brothers and sisters are celebrated in a festive atmosphere,” said Abdullah Al-Mamun.
