Argentine superstar Lionel Messi won the World Cup at the end of his glorious career. In 2022, Messi tasted World Cup victory in Qatar. But Messi could have tasted the world cup victory in 2010 when Spain won the World Cup in 2010.

Spain’s then-coach Vicente del Bosque tried to get Messi into the team. But Messi did not play for Spain because of his love for his native Argentina.

Messi left Argentina for Spain when he was only 13 years old. He grew up in Barcelona’s La Masia. From there, he gradually became one of the greatest of all time. He spent two decades in Spain before joining the French club PSG last year.

Messi used to play in the country’s jersey despite being in Spain. Xavi Hernandez, Andres Iniesta, and Gerard Pique, Messi’s teammates in Barcelona, won the World Cup in 2010.
