Film bodies applauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s statement after he advised party members to refrain from making unnecessary comments on movies amid boycott calls and demonstrations against Pathaan.
According to Hindustan Times, the Indian premier recently requested that BJP members refrain from making unnecessary comments regarding movies.
In the midst of the continuing Pathaan controversy, director Ashoke Pandit, president of the Indian Film and Television Directors’ Association (IFTDA), has now come out in support of PM Modi’s statement.
He added that PM Modi’s warning to members of his party was a ‘big boost of confidence for the film industry.’
