Metropolis Report-
According to Health Minister Zahid Maleque, government physicians will be permitted to conduct private practices at their hospital offices starting on March 1.
After a meeting on institutional practice at the secretariat, the minister told reporters that they would be permitted to see patients after their regular working hours and charge them an amount set by the government.
Maleque added in the news conference that doctors would be able to treat patients at their workplaces in the same way that they treat patients in their individual offices in clinics, pharmacies, or other hospitals.
The minister stated that the ministry had listened to the leaders of the medical community and other interested parties and that a high-level committee would soon be established in this respect.
