The Universal Pension Management Bill-2023, which aims to establish a universal pension program for the nation’s older population, was approved in parliament today.
The law was introduced by Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal, and it was approved by voice vote.
According to the Bill, this pension program is open to all Bangladeshi citizens between the ages of 18 and 50. Bangladeshis living abroad are likewise entitled to the perks.
The bill’s draft, which aims to provide a sustainable social safety net for the aging population, was created by the Finance Division.
