Mustafa Jabbar, the minister of postal services and telecommunications, has stated that Android users are not compelled to use the Bijoy keyboard app.
“I’ll explain by pointing out that the BTRC used the term mandatory.” The phrase is deceptive. Any program can be kept, installed, removed, and reinstalled on an Android phone. It isn’t actually compulsory.”
The minister said these on Wednesday in the capital’s Osmani Memorial Auditorium at the DC Conference (25 January).
“To facilitate Bengali writing, the maker or importer will offer software. The decision to use it or not is fully up to the user.”
