A man was shot to death in broad daylight of Khulna on Monday morning.
The deceased was Milon Fakir, 45, son of Abdul Wahab Fakir of Jamira area in Fultola upazila, Shosanto Sarker, additional superintendent of police (crime) in Khulna district.
The incident took place around 8:00am, he said.
Police and locals said Milon was standing near local Ideal School on Jamira Road when unidentified criminals on a motorcycle appeared and opened fire on him, leaving him dead on the spot.
