The Delhi High Court has given the go-ahead for the release of Hansal Mehta’s movie ‘Faraaz,’ based on the 2016 terrorist attack at the Holey Artisan.
As asked by some of the victim’s family members, the court declined to prevent the film’s release. The movie will now open in theaters tomorrow.
Two of the victim’s mothers’ appeal was postponed by the court. The Delhi High Court has ordered the director to “scrupulously adhere” to the disclaimers stated in the movie despite its distribution.
The attack influences the film, but the elements it involves are a work of fiction, according to the disclaimer.
The disclaimers, according to the Delhi High Court, address the issues brought up by the families of the victims. As a result, they are unable to prevent the movie’s release.
