Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader declared that the upcoming national elections will be impartial and fair, adding that they are now searching for a formidable opponent rather than trying to score goals in an empty field.
At a peace rally on Saturday in Dhaka, Quader addressed the BNP and said, “The game of movement was a failure for you. Come now and participate in the election.”
The ruling party conducted counter-political events nationwide, similar to those in Dhaka, in an effort to ‘prevent conspiracies and shield citizens’ from BNP violence.
According to Quader, BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir reportedly claimed that even the Pakistan era was preferable to Awami League administrations.
“But how is the current state of affairs in Pakistan? Pakistan lacks even a three-week reserve, while Bangladesh has enough reserves to cover imports for six months,” Quader remarked.
” The nation will become similar to modern-day Pakistan if the BNP wins the election.”
The BNP ran Hero Alam in the by-elections, according to the general secretary of the Awami League, in an effort to demoralize the legislature.
