The Bangladesh flag was recently flown before the start of a league game in Argentine football as a way to honor Bangladesh for its tremendous support.
The official social media accounts of Argentina’s professional football league, Liga Profesional de Ftbol de la AFA, released a photo of their mascots waving the Bangladesh flag behind the Argentine flag with the caption: “Gracias Bangladesh—Dhonnobaad,” meaning Thanks Bangladesh.
The social media post included the following caption: “Thank you, Bangladesh. The World Champions League will forever be grateful.”
