The passenger who allegedly peed on an elderly female co-passenger in business class and exposed his private parts to her on a flight from New York to Delhi in November 2022 was banned by Air India on Wednesday for 30 days.
The airline stated in a formal statement that it had taken the situation that caused the passenger such tremendous grief very seriously.
“Air India has taken a very serious note of the event,” the airline said. “A customer on the New York-Delhi flight acted in an unbecoming and undignified manner, causing significant discomfort to a fellow passenger.”
“A police complaint has already been lodged in this case, and Air India is committed to assisting the law enforcement agencies as well as regulatory authorities in ensuring that justice is delivered to the aggrieved passenger,” the Air India spokesperson said.
According to the Air India spokesperson, “a police complaint has already been filed in this issue, and Air India is committed to aiding the law enforcement agencies as well as regulatory authorities in ensuring that justice is served to the aggrieved passenger.”
