A mobile court has fined Awami League’s rebel candidate Abdul Mannan Tk 50,000 for violating the code of conduct in the Bogura-6 by-polls.
The mobile court fined him the money by raiding the community center near Abdul Mannan’s residence in the Borogola area of the town on Friday around 8 pm.
Abdul Mannan, former organizing secretary of Bogura Town Awami League, is contesting as an independent candidate on the truck symbol.
It was known that the truck symbol election campaign was being carried out on an LED display in front of the Shukra Community Center owned by Abdul Mannan.
As per the Election Code of Conduct, election campaigns cannot be carried out on digital displays.
