The biggest book fair in the nation, Amar Ekushey Book Fair, started on Wednesday (February 1). At 3:00 pm, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina personally opens the Amar Ekushey Book Fair-2023.
After a three-year hiatus, the book fair is back, and this time, 601 publishing houses and organizations will share 901 units. On the grounds of the Bangla Academy, 165 units have been awarded to 112 publishing houses and organizations, while 489 publishing firms and organizations in Suhrawardy Udyan have received 736 units.
38 pavilions will be present at the month-long book fair. Visitors must pass through the arches to enter the venue at the Suhrawardy Udyan and Bangla Academy locations.
On holidays and special occasions, visitors may enter Suhrawardy Udyan through the IEB gate. There will be parking facilities inside the Udyan.
The book fair will remain open from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm every day except holidays. The fair will open its doors to visitors at 11:00 am on holidays and at 8:00 am on February 21. Visitors will not be allowed to enter the fair after 8:30 pm.
Visitors are allowed to access Suhrawardy Udyan through the IEB gate during holidays and special occasions. Parking spaces will be available inside the Udyan.
Every day, barring holidays, the book fair will be open from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Visitors can enter the fair starting at 8:00 am on February 21 and at 11:00 am on weekends and holidays. After 8:30 pm, visitors won’t be permitted to access the fair.
