Amit Shah On Disagreement Regarding DMK Leader’s Remark That INDIA Bloc “Hates Hinduism”

Metropolis Desk-

The son of DMK leader MK Stalin made a remark against Sanatana Dharma, which, according to Union Home Minister Amit Shah, is “an attack on our heritage” and demonstrates the “hatred” of Hinduism by the Opposition group INDIA.

At the beginning of the BJP’s Parivartan Yatra, Mr. Shah was giving a speech in the election-bound Rajasthan town of Dungarpur. In the forthcoming state elections, the BJP is working extremely hard to unseat the incumbent Congress and retake power.

The INDIA bloc’s “vote bank politics” and “appeasement” strategy, according to the Home Minister, includes Udhayanidhi Stalin’s comments.

The Home Minister’s comments come in the midst of a heated debate over statements made by MK Stalin’s son, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Udhayanidhi. Udhayanidhi Stalin declared during a speech at a writers’ convention in Chennai that “Sanatana Dharma is against the idea of social justice and must be eradicated.” He also compared the Sanatana Dharma to ailments like dengue fever and malaria.

As the comments gained notoriety, BJP officials denounced it as a demand for genocide, attacked Udhayanidhi Stalin, and questioned whether the opinions of the DMK leader were shared by all INDIA citizens.

In response to the criticism, Mr. Stalin stated that Sanatana Dharma “is a principle that divides people in the name of caste and religion”.

“I never advocated the genocidal extermination of adherents of Sanatana Dharma. Sanatana Dharma must be eradicated in order to protect equality and humanity. I firmly stand by what I’ve said. I spoke on behalf of those who are disadvantaged and oppressed as a result of Sanatana Dharma, he stated.

The son of former Home Minister P Chidambaram, Congress leader Karti Chidambaram, has endorsed Udhayanidhi Stalin’s claims that Sanatana Dharma is “nothing but code for a Caste Hierarchical Society.” “Everyone who is batting for it longs for the good old days! He has claimed that caste is India’s curse.

Mr. Shah attacked the DMK and the Congress for their comments, saying, “Over the past two days, they (INDIA) have insulted this country’s history and Sanatana Dharma. Sons of prominent Congress and DMK leaders are debating putting an end to Sanatana Dharma in order to pursue vote-bank and appeasement politics.

The Home Minister also made reference to a 2010 statement made by Congressman Rahul Gandhi, who claimed that extremist Hindu organizations pose a greater threat than the terrorist group Lashkar-e-Taiba.

“Rahul Baba claimed that Hindu organizations pose a greater threat to national security than Lashkar-e-Taiba. Rahul Baba, you equated Hindu groups to Lashkar-e-Taiba, and your interior minister claimed that there is ‘Hindu terror’ in the nation,” Mr. Shah added.

Sushil Kumar Shinde, a former home minister and prominent member of the Congress, was the subject of his comment. According to Mr. Shinde, he used the phrase at a party meeting in Jaipur but quickly deleted it.

Sanatana Dharma, according to Mr. Shah, controls peoples’ hearts at the gathering in Rajasthan. “If Modi wins, they claim, Sanatana control will ensue. He claimed that Sanatana was in control of people’s hearts and that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had stated that India would operate in accordance with the Constitution.

The Union Home Minister said that the Congress was preventing the Ram Temple in Ayodhya from being built, claiming that the Grand Ram Temple would be completed in January at Lord Ram’s birthplace. Alliance of India cannot stop it. For years, Congress had put a stop to it.

The yatra, which was launched today, would travel 2,500 kilometres in 19 days, according to the home minister. “156 small meetings and 54 big meetings will be held, covering 52 Assembly constituencies. By the time it is finished, the fate of the Ashok Gehlot administration will be decided, he added.

Mr. Shah claimed that the Ashok Gehlot administration had failed to safeguard women and was corrupt. “The government of Asok Gehlot is rife with corruption and has done nothing to safeguard women. 19 incidences of sexual harassment are reported in the state on average every day”, he said.
