Brave freedom fighter Architect Mubasshar Hussain breathed his last this morning. Architect Iqbal Habib told the media that he passed away at Bangladesh Specialized Hospital around 1:30 am today. Mubasshar had spent the previous two months receiving care in the hospital’s ICU.
At noon, his body will be brought to the Institute of Architects Bangladesh on Architect Mazharul Islam Road so that people can pay him a heartfelt homage.
After namaz-e-janaza, which comes just after the Zohr prayer, the body would be given to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU).
Freedom fighter Mubasshar graduated from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology with a bachelor’s degree in architecture (BUET). He was the previous president of the Institute of Architects Bangladesh and the Chief Architect of Assoconsult Ltd.
