At 72, Ali Imam, a well-known author, organizer, and media figure, passed suddenly. He passed away on Monday, November 21, at the Ibn Sina Specialized Hospital in Dhanmondi.
He was afflicted with several complicated illnesses, such as pneumonia and respiratory problems.
Ali Imam, a prolific author of more than 600 books, was born on December 31, 1950, in Brahmanbaria. His writings are primarily geared toward young readers.
Before becoming the CEO of many satellite TV channels at the end of his career, he worked as Bangladesh Television’s general manager from 2004 to 2006.
Ali Imam won numerous accolades for his work in children’s literature, including the Shishu Academy Award (2001) and the Bangla Academy Literature Award (2012).
