The Bangladesh Government and the Asian Development Bank (ADB) have signed a $300 million loan agreement in Dhaka.
The agreement will support the implementation of the Skills for Industry Competitiveness and Innovation Programme (SICIP) from 2024-2029.
The program aims to enhance labor force skill capacity through technical and ICT-based training, creating more employment and boosting remittance.
ADB, one of Bangladesh’s largest multilateral development partners, has provided over $29,664 million in loans and $553.4 million in grants to Bangladesh since 1973.
