In the first two T20Is of three games, Bangladesh prevailed to win the series. Against the world champions in short-range cricket, Bangladesh won this series for the first time.
The Tigers won the second T20 game by 4 wickets at Mirpur after they had won the first of the three matches in Chittagong. With one game remaining, they ensured the unprecedented T20 series win.
Shakib, winning the toss in Mirpur, made the same decision as he had in Chittagong: to bowl. Mehdi Hasan Miraz, a spin all-rounder, was selected in the starting lineup in place of Shamim Hossain, a batter on a well-known surface.
With both ball and bat, Miraz was the key player. England was bowled out for 117.
