Bangladesh to Begin HSC Exams on June 26

The Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent exams will begin on June 26, with theoretical exams running until August 10, according to the schedule released by the Dhaka Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education on Wednesday.

The 2025 exams will follow the shortened syllabus from 2023. Unlike in previous years, all subjects will be tested with full marks and the standard exam duration.

Theoretical exams will end on August 10, followed by practical exams from August 11 to 28.

Students are required to be seated at least 30 minutes before the exam starts. The multiple-choice section will be conducted first, followed by the creative/descriptive section. The MCQ portion will last 30 minutes for 30 marks, while the creative section will last 2 hours and 30 minutes for 70 marks.

For subjects with practical components, the MCQ section will be 25 minutes long for 25 marks, while the creative section will take 2 hours and 35 minutes for 50 marks. There will be no breaks between the MCQ and creative sections.

For exams starting at 10 a.m., answer scripts and MCQ OMR sheets will be distributed at 9:30 a.m., with the MCQ question papers provided at 10 a.m.
