The government has made an agreement to purchase 1.80 lac tonnes of muriate of potash fertilizer from Russia over the fiscal years 2023–24.
An official announcement on Friday stated that the agreement was signed on June 1 in Moscow by the Russian state-owned company Prodintorg and the Bangladesh Agricultural Development Corporation.
Abdullah Sazzad, the chairman of BADC, and Andrei Sergeibitch, the director general of the Russian Prodintorg, signed the agreement on behalf of their respective nations.
