New Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Bangladesh Abdullah Ali Al Hamoudi highly appreciated the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina as the country witnessed the unprecedented development and progress in the last 10 to12 years.
Abdullah Ali Al Hamoudi expressed this view when he called on State Minister for Foreign Affairs Md Shahriar Alam MP at the latter’s office in the city on Wednesday, said a press release.
The envoy highlighted cooperation on enhancing trade and investment, air and shipping connection, agriculture, Food Security, floating based solar energy, pharmaceuticals, IT, afforestation, alliance for mangrove forest etc.
The ambassador has sought support of Bangladesh during COP 28 to be held in Dubai in 2023. He also sought the cooperation of the Bangladesh government in launching Abu Dhabi based Wizz Air between Abu Dhabi and Dhaka/Chittagong as a low-cost airline.
The state minister emphasized strengthening cooperation in food security and energy security between Bangladesh and the UAE.
He mentioned that the relations between Bangladesh and the UAE will reach a new height in the days come.
