Bangladesh’s ‘Team Lazy-Go’ has won the bronze medal in the Future Engineers category in the world’s prestigious robotics competition World Robot Olympiad 2022. The team achieved this success by competing with 24 countries in this three-day event held in Dortmund, Germany.
The ‘Robonium Bangladesh’ team participating from Bangladesh secured the eighth position in the Future Innovators category. Last year, Bangladesh secured a tenth place in the online World Robot Olympiad.
Around 1,300 competitors from 375 teams from 73 countries participated in this international competition. Two teams from Bangladesh participated in two categories of the competition, divided into eight categories.
The members of the bronze medal-winning Team Lazy-Go are Iqbal Samin, a student of the Information and Communication Engineering Department of Bangladesh University of Professionals, and Tawseef Samin, a student of the Software Engineering Department of the Islamic University of Technology.
The ‘Robonium Bangladesh’ team members are SSC candidate Israfil Shaheen of Rangpur Cantonment Public School and College and Mir Muhammad Abdul Haque, a class nine student of Manipur High School and College.
