The Robert H Goddard Prize for Science of NASA honors the contributions of the Landsat 9 calibration and validation team. The USGS Earth Resources Observation and Science (EROS) Center and NASA Goddard Space Flight Center are the team’s leaders, together with South Dakota State University, Rochester (New York) Institute of Technology, the University of Arizona, and NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory.
One of the primary contributors to this study was Manisha Das Chaity, a former student of the Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET) who is currently doing her Doctorate at Rochester.
Since 1961, the Goddard Space Flight Center has given Robert H. Goddard Awards for Extraordinary Achievement. The scientists, engineers, and researchers who work in the space sector greatly prize this award because it is one of the most distinguished in the field of space science and technology.
