At a campaign studio in New Hampshire on Tuesday, U.S. President Joe Biden urged Democrats to win the election on November 5, calling Republican Donald Trump a threat to democracy and calling for his “political” imprisonment.
Biden said, “We got to lock him up,” to cheers at a Concord, New Hampshire, Democratic campaign office. “Politically confine him. Shut him out. We must accomplish that,” he stated.
Biden asserted that former President and Republican candidate Trump intends to disregard the safeguards provided by the U.S. Constitution. According to him, “Our democracy is at stake” if Trump defeats Democratic candidate Kamala Harris.
Trump frequently oversaw rallies during his 2016 presidential campaign when the crowd yelled “lock her up,” a reference to Hillary Clinton, the Democratic nominee at the time. He did not abandon that chant.
Harris’s supporters occasionally yell “lock him up,” a reference to Trump, who has been found guilty of 34 felony counts involving the concealment of hush money payments to a porn star, during her rallies this year. Additionally, he faces accusations of unlawfully attempting to rescind his 2020 election defeat.
Harris, however, breaks up the chants, stating that the Justice Department will deal with that matter while she tries to defeat the former president in the voting booth. The International Monetary Fund has now lowered Bangladesh’s growth forecast for this year, following the World Bank, as floods, industrial unrest, and political unpredictability have a significant impact on economic activity.
