At a function organized by the National Human Rights Commission in the capital on Saturday (10 December), law minister Anisul Huq said blocking roads is not part of human rights.

The law minister said there is no place for blocking the roads in the constitution. Violators of human rights will be prosecuted under the law.

Warning ambassadors abroad, he said, ambassadors should speak keeping in mind the situation of their own country.

The law minister said that those who speak about human rights are sheltered in a country of human rights violators.

Anisul Huq also said that Bangladesh disagrees with the United States’ concern about the rights of Bangladesh’s political parties being undermined.
