BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia’s personal physician, Prof. AZM Zahid Hossain, reports that she was taken to Dhaka’s Evercare Hospital after becoming unexpectedly ill.
He claimed, “Madam was admitted to the hospital on the advice of the doctors after being rushed there.”
The BNP chief was taken by ambulance to Evercare Hospital at around 3:05 in the morning, and she was admitted at around 3:30 in the morning to the Critical Care Unit, or CCU.
On May 2, Khaleda had previously visited Evercare for medical examinations. At the time, she had been hospitalized to the CCU for two days while receiving therapy.
To manage her care, a medical team led by Dr. Shahabuddin Talukder has been gathered at the hospital.
The 79-year-old former prime minister has a number of health conditions, such as diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis, heart disease, and different lung, liver, and renal problems.
