Boishakhi TV Journo Dies in Bogura Road Crash

Six days after the road accident, Journalist Kamlesh Mohant Sanu succumbed to his injuries at ShaheedZiaur Rahman Medical College Hospital in Bogura on Thursday.

The deceased was working as a Bogura correspondent of Baisakhi Television. The 50-year-old journalist used to live with his family in the Shivbati area of Bogura Sadar, said police. 

ASI Rakibul Hasan, Chhilimpur (Medical) Police Outpost, said Sanu died at Shaheed ZiaurRahman Medical College Hospital at 11:20am on Thursday. He was undergoing treatment in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

On November 11, he met with an accident on the Dhaka-Rangpur highway in front of SZMC Hospital in Bogura Sadar’s Chhilimpur area at night while riding a motorcycle to cover a a murder news. Along with Sanu, another journalist named Imran Hossain Likhan, was riding a motorcycle. A speeding bus hit their motorcycle. Motocyclist Likhan sustained minor injuries.

The injured were sent to the hospital where Sanu died on Thursday morning.
