British Deputy High Commissioner Javed Patel paid a two-day visit from November 1 to the Bholaganj border region to survey the areas ravaged by terrible floods earlier this year and learn about relief activities, says a press release.
The deputy high commissioner remarked, “I am delighted to be back in Sylhet, which is important to the close UK-Bangladesh relationship. It was a great pleasure to meet Deputy Commissioner Md. Mozibor Rahman, and Sylhet Metropolitan Additional Police Commissioner, Jubaedur Rahman, have the opportunity to discuss the important contribution Sylhet makes to Bangladesh and thank them for their support to British Bangladesh communities.”
