The Border Security Force (BSF) of India and the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) will hold a four-day border conference starting on Sunday, June 11. On Saturday, a BGB delegation traveled to New Delhi for the 53rd Directorate General level border coordination meeting with the BSF.
According to a BSF official, the 53rd Director General level border coordination meeting between the BSF and BGB will be held at BSF Camp Chhawla in New Delhi from November 11 to November 14.
The BGB mission will be led by Maj Gen AKM Nazmul Hasan, director general, of BGB, while the BSF delegation will be led by Director General Dr Sujoy Lal Thaosen. The goal of the agenda is to prevent numerous transnational crimes and to promptly share information.
Discussions about how to jointly deter different transnational crimes and prompt information sharing between the Border Guarding Forces will take place during the meeting, according to the spokesperson.
Additionally, discussions will be held regarding infrastructure and development projects, as well as coordinated efforts to effectively implement the Coordinated Border Management Plan (CBMP) and Confidence Building Measures (CBMs).
