Christmas is being celebrated around the country with grand festivities and exuberance as everywhere else in the world. The main Christian religious holiday, Christmas, is observed every year on December 25th around the globe to remember the birth of Jesus Christ.
Family, friends, and loved ones gather to celebrate the day with festive lights and decked-out Christmas trees in houses. Before and after the church prayer services, hymns and Christmas carols are sung.
According to sources at the RAB headquarters, a sufficient number of Rab employees have already been dispersed across the nation as part of the overall security measures to be prepared to handle emergencies and unanticipated circumstances during Christmas celebrations.
Both Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and President Abdul Hamid sent separate messages on the occasion. This evening, the president will give a reception at Bangabhaban.
The reception will be attended by the archbishop of Bangladesh, ambassadors, representatives from foreign missions, notable Christian community members, religious leaders, and professionals.
