Metropolis Report-
To expand its local production, Runner Automobiles has entered the three-wheeler market. The local business will now produce three-wheelers powered by CNG and LPG under the Bajaj brand at its Bhaluka, Mymensingh plant for the first time.
The Tk300 crore plant, which began with a 30,000 unit yearly production capacity, is equipped to meet the entire local market’s need for three-wheelers with engines. It is anticipated that the runner facility will serve as a countrywide import replacement for Bajaj.
Runner estimates that through chassis, body welding, painting, testing, engine, and car assembling, the local plant will add about 70% of its value locally.
It would also assist the business in lowering the unit costs for last-mile vehicles (LMVs), which are compact, lightweight cars designed primarily for short-range or “last-mile” commuting tasks.
