Detective Branch (DB) of police arrested a local leader of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) along with a stolen motorbike in Bogura.
The arrestee is Golam Gaus Lemon, 24, joint general secretary of Shajahanpur upazila unit BCL, said Mintu Mia, general secretary of the upazila Chhatra League.
Ali Jahan, sub-inspector (SI) of Bogura DB police, said on secret information, they arrested Lemon with the stolen motorbike in Banani port area of Bogura’s Shajahanpur upazila on Thursday night.
On Friday, the arrestee was produced before a court which later sent him to jail following a case filed with Shajahanpur Police Station in this connection, said the SI.
Md Abdul Kader Zilani, officer-in-charge of Shajahanpur Police Staion, said Lemon, son of Shah Alam of B-Block Rahimabadh village in the upazila, was accused in various cases including one for abduction.
