Condemning yesterday’s deadly clash killing two people in Panchagarh , Ain o Salish Kendra (ASK) urged all authorities concerned to take appropriate steps to ensure the safety and security of the Ahmadiyyas.
The rights body in a statement issued today said “Such an attack on a religious community is not acceptable in any way,”.
On Friday, two people were killed and at least 30 others were injured in a clash between law enforcers and supporters of some Islamist organisations who were demonstrating against a programme of the Ahmadiyya community in Panchagarh.
The agitators also set 30 houses and four shops belonging to Ahmadiyyas on fire, and attacked a local police station.
