Residents of Dhaka make up the majority of the admitted cases, while instances from other places are also increasing.

This year, the dengue death rate is at a five-year high, and at Mugda Hospital, where 90 new cases have been admitted in the past day, the situation has gotten worse.

Thirty private hospitals in Dhaka city have received training from the DGHS, which also reported that more than nine persons, including eight from Dhaka, have passed away in the previous 24 hours.

27,547 people were admitted to hospitals in total, while 21,455 were discharged. The highest number of dengue-related deaths in a single year in the nation’s history was 281.
