The Satmasjid and Agargaon substations failed, causing a five-hour power outage that was followed by the restoration of power in the Dhanmondi, Mohammadpur, and Mirpur neighborhoods of the capital.
According to Dhaka Electricity Distribution Corporation, power transmission was resumed at the substations at 11:00 am. Power has also been restored at the 230 kV grid line between Aminbazar and Agargaon.
Around 5:50 this morning, a 230 kV grid line from Aminbazar to Agargaon and the Satmasjid and Agargaon grid substations failed, resulting in blackouts in sections of Dhanmondi, Mohammadpur, Mirpur, Agargaon, Shyamoli, and other areas of the capital
