The Digital Security Act will be updated, and its name will now be the Cyber Security Act. In an effort to prevent abuse and misuse, the new law would change current portions of the existing law.
The decision was made during a Cabinet meeting where the document for the DSA transformation was agreed in principle.
Law Minister Anisul Huq made the announcement. By September of this year, the Cabinet will have to introduce the required revisions to the Digital Security Act.
The proposal for the Cyber Security Act, which would replace the Digital Security Act, has been prepared and presented to the Cabinet.
