To enable its pupils to succeed in modern society, education minister Dipu Moni stated Tuesday that integrating Qawmi education into the mainstream educational system through curriculum updating and making it time-fitting is essential.
She spoke at an event titled “Madrasa education needs to be modernized” at Engineers Institution in the capital and emphasized the significance of incorporating aspects of our culture, heritage, and language into Qawmi madrasa, which are essential components of mainstream education.
All educational streams need to be brought under the control of the government, according to author and educator Prof. Muhammed Zafar Iqbal.
Shyamoli Nasrin Chowdhury, an educationist, stated, “We need to prepare a proper education system to include madrasa students to a skilled population.”
According to Maulana Hasan Rafiq, the government should act right away to update the Qawmi Madrasa curriculum and consider expanding the number of employment prospects for its graduates.
Additionally, recommendations were made to forbid political activity, safeguard the students’ safety and security, and manage all madrasas’ operations nationwide.
