Metropolis Report-
During the Eid rush, motorcycles will be permitted to travel on the country’s national routes. On the Padma Bridge, however, there will still be limitations on bike use.
After holding an Eid al-Fitr planning meeting at the BRTA headquarters, Minister of Road Transport and Bridges Obaidul Quader made the announcement on Sunday.
During the Eid rush, the minister also gave the appropriate instructions to the relevant authorities to guarantee that traffic on the Dhaka-Gazipur part of the highway moves normally.
In an effort to cut down on traffic accidents, authorities had last year barred bikes from being driven on national highways before Eid al-Adha.
