The government raised the cost of power at the retail level once more by 5%.
This evening, a circular was released in this respect by the Ministry of Electricity, Energy, and Natural Resources.
Since January of this year, the government has raised the price of power three times. The new pricing will take effect tomorrow.
The average cost of power will increase to Tk 8.21 per kilowatt hour from Tk 7.82 kWh, according to officials.
