Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the president of Turkey, demanded on Sunday that Russia not be “marginalized” in negotiations to revive a crucial agreement to transport Ukrainian grain through the Black Sea.
“No process that marginalizes Russia on the Black Sea grain initiative will be viable,” Erdogan said to reporters following the conclusion of the G20 summit in New Delhi. He also announced a meeting between representatives from Russia, Ukraine, and the UN to discuss the matter, though he did not give a specific time or place.
