A man was killed after a fire broke out on the seventh floor of a building in the capital’s Gulshan area on Sunday.
Firefighters rescued 22 people from the building so far.
One was brought dead to the Dhaka Medical College and Hospital from the place of occurrence. The identity of the deceased is yet to be confirmed, said hospital sources.
Fire officials said the blaze that originated at 6:59pm in the 12-storey building was brought under control around 11pm.
