A fire that started early on Monday at Dhaka’s South City Corporation (DSCC) sweeper colony beneath the Hanif flyover, close to Kaptan Bazaar and the Joy Kali Mandir neighborhood, resulted in at least four individuals suffering burn injuries.
At the Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery, they are currently receiving treatment.
Geeta Rani Dey, 64, Kanta Rani, 60, Raju, 36, and Afzal Hossain, 52, are among those hurt.
They are currently being treated in the burn institute’s emergency room, according to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) police outpost.
After more than an hour of work, seven firefighting teams had the flames under control.
