At Chattogram Port’s Dolphin Jetty, an oil tanker caught fire.

Onboard the Bangladesh Shipping Corporation ship “Banglar Jyoti,” the fire broke out on Monday at 10:55 a.m.

Omar Faruk, the port authority secretary, reported that a fire had broken out on a ship at Dolphin Jetty. A Navy fire team is working to put out the fire.

He didn’t know where or how the ship fire started.

From the port’s outer anchorage, the state-flagged vessel arrived at the jetty with crude oil.

Port officials report that they safely evacuated other nearby ships after the fire broke out.
