On the third floor of one of the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate court’s (CMM) buildings on Johnson Road in Old Dhaka, a fire has started in a store room.
Two firefighting units from Sadarghat have reportedly rushed to the scene and are currently attempting to put out the blaze, according to the Fire Services and Civil Defense control center.
Up until the time of this report’s filing, the fire had not claimed any lives.
According to the additional deputy commissioner of the DMP’s prosecution division, the fire reached the third floor of the CMM building, where the DMP’s prosecution division is also housed.
