Road communication between Cox’s Bazar and other parts of the country has been disrupted due to flooding and rain.
The Chattogram-Cox’s Bazar highway in the Hasimpur area of Chandanaish has been submerged, causing flash floods at various points.
The highway has also been inundated in Satkania in Chattogram and Chakaria of Cox’s Bazar. Buses that left Cox’s Bazar for Dhaka got stuck in Chandanaish but managed to cross the area.
Transport movement on the Cox’s Bazar-Chattogram highway was completely stopped due to the underwater road.
Some buses are using narrow roads through Chakaria, Pekua, Bashkahli, and Anawara to travel between Cox’s Bazar and Chattogram.
The Bandarban-Keranirhat road in the Bajalia area has also been inundated since yesterday.
