Gaan Bangla Television has suspended its broadcast. Bangladesh Satellite Company Limited has decided to stop the broadcast due to unpaid satellite fees.
Shah Ahmedul Kabir, the General Manager of Sales and Marketing at Bangladesh Satellite Company Limited, confirmed the news.
“We owe the channel a substantial sum of money,” Ahmedul Kabir stated. As agreed upon, the organization has consistently gone beyond the time frame for service availability.”
The Gaan Bangla authorities have received numerous reminders and official notices, but they have only made small payments. As a result, they have temporarily suspended the connection. He continued, “We will restore the connection after we pay the debt.”
Ahmedul Kabir reports that Gaan Bangla Channel’s broadcast has stopped since Wednesday at 12 PM.
“The Managing Director of the organization, Kaushik Hossain Taposh, and his wife, Chairperson Farzana Munny, have never communicated with us,” he said. The person who speaks to us instead is Taposh’s father, Delwar Hossain Raja. In our conversation with him on Tuesday, we outlined the circumstances, emphasizing the significant amount of money the channel owes us and our incapacity to maintain the connection in the face of these obstacles.”
Ahmedul Kabir responded that Gaan Bangla Channel owed BDT 1,60,32,000 in satellite fees.
