The bus explosion in Sadar upazila, Lakshmipur district, early on Monday resulted in the deaths of at least three people and the injuries of twenty more.
Sons of Sujamia, Md. Yusuf Mia and his brother Hridoy Hossain, and Suman Hossain, son of Batu Mia, were identified as the deceased.
They originally came from the Charmonsha and Banchanagar areas of Sadar Upazila, respectively.
Muhammad Fahad Hossain, Abdul Malek, Siraj Mia, Hinduism, Rocky Islam, and Suman Hossain were among the injured.
To provide them with better care, the Dhaka Medical College Hospital received ten injured patients.
At the Green Life Filling Station in the Muktiganj area, witnesses said, an explosion happened at around two in the morning while a Meghna Paribahan bus headed for Ramgati was refueling.
In addition to the three immediate deaths from the explosion, twenty more people suffered injuries.
The filling station’s manager, Al Amin, stated that both bus and CNG drivers were among the injured. The majority of the victims were autorickshaw drivers who operated on compressed natural gas.
According to Ranajit Kumar, the station officer of the Fire Service and Civil Defence (FSCD) department in Sadar upazila, information led to the dispatch of two firefighting units to the scene.
Not only did they rescue the injured, but they also discovered three bodies.
The bodies were sent to Sadar Hospital.
Kumar claims that the use of a subpar gas cylinder was the reason for the spill.
A mortuary was used to autopsy the bodies, while Dhaka was the destination for better medical care for ten injured, according to Sadar Hospital resident medical officer Dr. Joynal Abedin.
