Bangladesh Jewellers Samity (Bajus) decreased the price of gold for the second time in the previous three weeks. The cost of the precious metal has been reduced by 1.26 percent or Tk 1,167 per bhori, easing the strain on consumers’ wallets when they purchase gold jewelry.
A buyer can now purchase one bhori of 22-carat gold (11.664 grams) for Tk 91,095, a decrease from the Tk 92,263 in force as of February 5 of this year.
According to a press statement from the Bajus, the new prices will take effect tomorrow. The rate was revised as pure gold prices dropped on the domestic market.
