Road Transport and Bridges Minister and Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader said, “Good people do not want to join politics. We have not made politics suitable for them. People of character should be brought into politics.”
He said these things in his speech as the chief guest at the Jatiya Party’s tri-annual council session held at Ramna Engineers Institute Auditorium this Sunday afternoon.
Obaidul Quader said that no one could become general secretary of the Awami League for three consecutive times after independence.
“It’s fortunate for me. Allah above and Sheikh Hasina below made it possible for me.”
