In just one day, the price of green chilies has climbed by Tk 50 per kg, while the cost of meat and other vegetables has also gone up.
Green chili seems to be in short supply, and carrying prices have tripled.
According to vegetable wholesalers, carrying expenses have increased three times as a result of the transportation of livestock before Eid al-Adha.
Further increases were also observed for other crops like snake gourd, pointed gourd, ridge gourd, sponge gourd, and bitter gourd.
The sacrificial feast is the cause behind the additional Tk 40 per kg increase in the price of beef.
